Jessica Simpson as Dazzler?

Yeah... I read the rumor ages ago on Dark Horizons too, but now Cinescape is reporting it as thus...

And a week later Dark Horizons story has landed in The Irish Examiner. That paper now reports the Simpson/X-MEN 3 rumor -- except they say she has "landed" a role in X3. Quoting a source, the paper reports "They will possibly give her a small role in X-MEN 3 as a lounge-singer to introduce the character of Dazzler."

All I have to say is, if the above is true, it better be very small, quick and quiet. Jessica Simpson? Dazzler? X3? :cringes: Let's all hope The Irish Examiner is very wrong.

Jessica Simpson has NOT been cast in X3. Let's hope it *stays* this way!

When I read the rumor ages ago, they were mentioning Britney Spears' name.

Why can't they just expand Jubilee's part? Dazzler's so unnecessary. :-P

I did read a little newsbite at SHH today... something about Danger Room and Wolvie. That's the kind of rumors I want to hear about. Wolvie anything would be more reassuring.

Mmmm...yeah. That's more like it. Wolvie training in the Danger Room, sweatin', flexing his muscles (he'd have to be shirtless, of course)... Why can't the movie be all Wolvie?

Wolvie anything would be more reassuring.

Well, I did hear an (unconfirmed by Hugh) rumor that he's signed to play Wolvie for 3 more films. WooHugh!!!

I haven't quite tumbled to who this Simpson chick is, so for me she's famous for being famous.

Why can't they cast women who can act in the X franchise? she whined in the comments. Anna Paquin can't pull all the weight. No offense to Rebecca Romign-Stamos, but her character is a team effort.

I have no idea who Dazzler is except for an X-Men cartoon episode I saw, but even if she's a completely irrelevant character, Jessica has *nothing* to do with that.

Let her keep playing the blonde airhead and get her a The Not Newlyweds Anymore show so she can keep confusing chicken with buffalo and thinking buffalos have wings. Do NOT let her mess with X-Men.

Well... it *is* the Irish Examiner. Some lazy sod in the Entertainment department probably pulled it out of the other magazine and changed the wording a little. Although I hear the Irish Examiner is pulling a lot of weight in Hollywood these days. :p

Bryan Singer is a smart guy. Put a nearly nekkid model in your movie... but don't let her talk too much. Femme Fatale? Godsend? :cringes:

Hopefully, your lack of experience with Simpson's assets will remain as is. She need not be in X-Men anything. Ever. We have enough gratuitous T&A for the male persuasion with Mystique, we don't need anymore.

What I want to know is what was on this supposed audition tape she apparently sent to Fox? Clips from "Not-Newlyweds" and her dead eyes rambling about how Chicken of the Sea isn't chicken and Buffalo Wings is everso confusingly chicken? Maybe she sent a few clips of that vid where she's dancing in front of the green screen, supercheap ass CGI flying around her and she's wearing that ugly tight leather get-up ... maybe 'shopped some X's on it to prove her place on the team? ::gags::
