Jessica Simpson as Dazzler?

Yeah... I read the rumor ages ago on Dark Horizons too, but now Cinescape is reporting it as thus...

And a week later Dark Horizons story has landed in The Irish Examiner. That paper now reports the Simpson/X-MEN 3 rumor -- except they say she has "landed" a role in X3. Quoting a source, the paper reports "They will possibly give her a small role in X-MEN 3 as a lounge-singer to introduce the character of Dazzler."

All I have to say is, if the above is true, it better be very small, quick and quiet. Jessica Simpson? Dazzler? X3? :cringes: Let's all hope The Irish Examiner is very wrong.

I haven't quite tumbled to who this Simpson chick is, so for me she's famous for being famous.

Why can't they cast women who can act in the X franchise? she whined in the comments. Anna Paquin can't pull all the weight. No offense to Rebecca Romign-Stamos, but her character is a team effort.

Bryan Singer is a smart guy. Put a nearly nekkid model in your movie... but don't let her talk too much. Femme Fatale? Godsend? :cringes:

Hopefully, your lack of experience with Simpson's assets will remain as is. She need not be in X-Men anything. Ever. We have enough gratuitous T&A for the male persuasion with Mystique, we don't need anymore.
