"defy laws of nature"
Oct. 13th, 2004 07:21 pm....So says the Flexon ad of my particular model of glasses. Do they "defy nature"? Hardly. I got them because I'm not exactly the most graceful person in the world and these wire frames (yeah, I know) were supposedly able to resist a lot of abuse ... I've had them for about seven months and the bridge snapped like a little twig today. Bu-bye $240. ::tries not to toss desk chair out the window relieving frustrations:: I think I've had it with wire frames. Maybe it's about time I went down the trendier road with the dark, plastic frames?
Why haven't I gotten Lasic surgery yet? Oh yeah. Because I'm a chickenshit. I'll have to ask myself that question again after I drop a few hundred more dollars on supposedly indestructible, super-flexible frames.

*starts counting toes* ^_________^
My POV: like hell no laser is coming near me, not yet anyways. Oh wait, I've never worn contacts before and succumbed to the trendy dark plastic frames myelf. Heh, my previous specs made me look like Professor Trelawney's niece or something. ;)

Date: 2004-10-23 06:49 am (UTC)I'm with you... unless my mother makes good with her threats, tranquilizes me and drags me to the doctor's office I'm not budging. She's already offered to pay for the surgery... but I just won't do it. She seriously will have to knock me out if I ever decide to get it done.
Professor Trelawney's niece
Heee. That would be an interesting Halloween costume though. ;) I was actually considering going as Trelawney, but my young cousins somehow hornswaggled me into going as someone of their choosing. Eh.
