I'm probably slow on the uptake with this, but I noticed that in both last season's time travel ep and this season's, there was Dean/Cas shoulder touch of bromance near the very end of both eps.



In 4.03 it's Cas touching Dean's shoulder. In 5.04 it's Dean touching Cas.

With all this lovely mirroring, does this mean in 5.22 it will be Dean slamming Cas up against a wall with his hand on (or near) his mouth? ;) YES PLS!!

Also in both eps, Surprise Angel in the co-pilot seat with Dean-not-quite-having-a-heart-attack while driving a borrowed car.

Yeah, thems are awesome parallels. In the episode names, too - "In the beginning" and "The end".

Yes! These eps were pretty much bookends to each other. Obvs, also both Dean-centric eps.

Although comparing the ep to ITB, you could almost say 5.04 started off and was largely The Doors, but ended up more like The Beatles. XD Dean/Cas having their moment, then Dean-Sam having theirs. Even if you count 4.04 as the 2nd part of 4.03, both the Dean/Cas and Dean-Sam rel'ps are treading thin ice. Cas was still creepy as hell back then and Sam was beginning the downward spiral / the destruction of the Dean-Sam rel'p. Then comparing it to 5.04, it's Dean depicted as the most charitable by the end (it's Dean who's the lone voice of morality in the future, Dean reaches out to touch Cas and Dean calls Sam).
