second verse same as the first

I'm probably slow on the uptake with this, but I noticed that in both last season's time travel ep and this season's, there was Dean/Cas shoulder touch of bromance near the very end of both eps.



In 4.03 it's Cas touching Dean's shoulder. In 5.04 it's Dean touching Cas.

With all this lovely mirroring, does this mean in 5.22 it will be Dean slamming Cas up against a wall with his hand on (or near) his mouth? ;) YES PLS!!

Also in both eps, Surprise Angel in the co-pilot seat with Dean-not-quite-having-a-heart-attack while driving a borrowed car.

It must be in the water, because I've had the same crazy in my head. Dude, if they had some epic, UST-brimming, unrequited love thing going on? Even if it's just friendshippy, Dean all afraid to get Cas too close to his filthy humanness because he doesn't want to turn him into Mrs. Dalloway Cas in Zach's future. Cas wanting him close, but yet also afraid of it at the same time because he still wants to go home and wants to stop feeling for Dean but can't help it, anymore than Dean can stop touching him. Then they just give up and run at each other like Andy and Red at the end of "The Shawshank Redemption" but with (HOT!) boykissing from UST that's been building up forever. This fic needs to be written toute suite.

The love would be the glaring difference between 5.04's wasteland (sex>>>love) and any requited that should happen in the proper timeline (love>>>sex). Again, can be pure agape/platonic too and it would still be amazing. Like transcendental kind of amazing.

It could be and it would be, definitely. Unfortunately, were such a scenario to be written by yours truly, my mind can't seem to get out of perve land hee. I blame it on the wall-slamming in 4x22.
