I'd think if *anyone* was feeling acutely uncomfortable in that group, it would be Rose between her trait acquired in S2 of jealousy of other women remotely friendly to the Doctor and as Donna and Martha already know each other. Rose would or should distinctly be the third wheel there.
Which RTD will rectify by A) BadWolfing Rose to show how much she pwns if a plot device is involved, B) making Martha and Donna inexplicably give her loving praise for something that more competent Companions used to do on a regular basis, or C) making them Yentas to atone for their shame in doubting the glowy alt!verse lady whose character description boils down to "loves the Doctor and chips".
I'm starting to think the real problem isn't Rose, but the blatant author-insertion called "The Doctor", the love of whom is fickle and pointlessly competed after.
