Super Bowl = Excellent trailers
Feb. 1st, 2004 11:47 pmThis is mostly for the benefit of
arquiloren who hasn't had her computer (I remember how amused you were at the "Catwoman" stills). The clip only aired Friday, but if Fametracker is any indication, I'm thinking too many have already suffered through this (so it's old news for most). Click here to watch Catwoman's birthday wishes to Oprah. (You need Quicktime to watch the clip). ;) My brother e-mailed me and said he went both blind *and* deaf from watching it. I can't say that I'm surprised. This movie is going to revive the underground bunker trend of the 50s, it's going to be *such* a bomb.
HAPLESS HALLE
Ms. Berry hits her head.

Is Halle Berry a klutz or just plain unlucky? The Oscar-winning beauty has had yet another on-set mishap, reportedly colliding with some equipment while filming an action scene for "Catwoman."
"She had to maneuver past a piece of equipment, a set piece, and she didn't quite run past it, but she's just fine," a production spokesman tells the Associated Press.
"She was taken to the hospital Saturday night, treated and released and was at work again Monday morning." The rep denies reports claiming the actress spent six hours in the hospital waiting room or that she was hit on the head with a microphone. No word on whether her ridiculous, constricting costume contributed to the crash.
This is the latest in a string of accidents for Halle. She broke her arm after Robert Downey Jr. grabbed her a little too roughly while shooting a scene in "Gothika." While playing the appropriately named Bond girl Jinx in "Die Another Day," Berry not only suffered an eye injury during an action sequence but nearly choked on a fig during a love scene with 007 Pierce Brosnan (he performed the Heimlich on her). Back in 1992, she fell off a horse while filming the miniseries "Queen," bruising her tailbone and shutting down production for 10 days.
She hit her head. Maybe that explains the retardedness of that "Oprah" birthday clip?
Randomness... for those who didn't feel like sitting through a couple hours of pro-football (all of the below snagged from AICN)...
( VAN HELSING Super Bowl trailer )
CGI is still bad. Dialogue is still bad. But Hugh still tears his shirt off. Seeing. it.
( TROY Super Bowl trailer )
There is just *way* too much pretty in this movie... barring Peter O' Toole and General Stryker.
( Also, a new [low quality] HARRY POTTER & THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN trailer. )
There was a small bit in it that made the H/Hr shipper in me squee in delight, allbeit it's not too different from the previous squee-worthy materials. Ahem. Vague enough for you?

Date: 2004-02-03 04:25 am (UTC)Yeah, well, shocked was more the word. My God, this keeps getting worse and worse. Was that clip part of the movie that she just used to congratulate Oprah or did she do it precisely for that? I can't begin to say how terrible, terrible she looked. The costume, the voice, the miauuu. I could stop loving cats just because of that, you know? But no, they're not to blame for that.

LOL! We can only hope.

I haven't seen it on TV, but I saw it here. All I can say is... GUH! Yeah, it does look tacky, but, oh.... *remembers that famous before it's famous scene with Hugh tearing off shirt*
TROY Super Bowl trailer
What are you doing to me? First Hugh, then Brad? I don't know this story, but I can see Brad anywhere, anytime. Gonna go dream, now.
Thankees for the expected good dreams. *g*
