SGA 3.02 "Misbegotten"
Jul. 21st, 2006 10:13 pmSo they converted 200 Wraith into humans... it's almost like the fuck-up was 200 times as bad as Michael? Heh. Couldn't see that coming from a mile away. [/sarcasm]
Can we hope that any of those Wraith would keep quiet about Atlantis' existence? I seriously doubt it. However, there could be a shred of hope.
Since Michael regained his memory of both guinea pig incidents (and the aftermath), he must certainly remember how he was treated upon return by the Wraith. He implied as much to Carson prior mindprobe. He has to have something up his sleeve.
Michael probed Carson's mind apparently to figure out what Shep's failsafe was... as to seem like a savior to his fellow Wraith (Guardian angel twofold, heh). Forcing information out of Carson's mind, my bet is he also forced out the formula to create the retrovirus himself. To have something to fall back on if the other Wraith turn against him (which they most likely will) and screw over his fellow Wraith before they inevitably can screw him over. Just like in NML, releasing the rvirus into the CO2 filtration system and either being generous and letting them stay on board deWraithified (as his servants of course), letting them kill each other or possibly drop them off on some uninhabited planet then leaving behind Sheppard's armed "failsafe" for good measure. Thus he can "go [his] own way" as he asked of Teyla earlier in the ep.
Then one day, when the Atlanteans are at their wits end (again), probably facing down a whole new group of folks they majorly pissed off... Michael the Flying Dutchman will come charging in on the white steed of a Wraith Hive Ship bailing their asses out (again). Michael seems to have real potential as a very interesting (longterm) anti-hero for the Atlanteans. And how sick is it I still saw chemistry between Michael/Teyla... despite all his raging Wraithification?! Even with that antagonism between them... or because of it? :facepalms: I need help. Why isn't there more fic of these two together?
Also glad we got to see at least some of Connor Trineer's pretty... even if it was brief.
It also looks like they're changing the order of the eps. The preview for the ep we saw after last night's ("Irresistable") was supposed to be 3.04. Eh. Just as long as we get to see 3.03 eventually I'll hold back on the pissy letters to Sci-Fi. Although I have been really looking forward to 3.03.

3.03, that's the one that everyone is so excited about, because of the guest star, yes?
facepalms: I need help.
You and me both. *guh*
Also? the most amusing part of SG1 tonight? Vala's whole interview thing.

I do definitely think we're going to see Michael again. Although was I the only one that noticed that his Wraithification seems to be - I don't know - waning somewhat this second time? Wraith!Michael doesn't seem quite as Wraithy (physically) as before?

Heh. Although I find it endearing she tried to cram for it.
And no Ori in the ep... although the return of attack of the parasites storyline didn't really do much for me either. SGA wins me over this week too.
Although Woolsey pulling a Slugworth? I actually didn't call that. Can SGA keep him? He's kind of woobie, in a stuffed-shirt sort of way.

*g* yeS, YES, AND YES again!! Michael/Tayla is my #1 guilty pleasure trip and there should definitely be some fic with them.
