There is this very cool Channel 4 (the Brit affiliate that has the UK distribution rights for Lost) promo that's making the rounds in the "Lost" netdom (first saw this at TWOP). Some of the Brits on my FL may have already seen it either on tv or the movies (it's mixed amongst the trailers before War of the Worlds apparently).

I'm not sure how well this represents the show (seems a little too Carnivale. Not that that's a bad thing, but the show isn't really Carnivale), but it is a beautiful promo. Something us rube Americans will probably never see on ABC (maybe the DVD extras). Very surreal and macabre, even if it's slightly misrepresentative. I didn't think ABC had it in them, at least not so long after the days of Twin Peaks.

Although the promo mentions a "cop". Cop? Who's the cop? Mars maybe (US Marshal = Cop?)?

It's a season one promo. "Lost" S1 is starting in August for the Brits, so thusly why Boone is there ... and dancing with Claire? Odd. Not that I'm complaining really because they do bring all kinds of pretty, but you'd think she'd be around Charlie or something.

Ah, figures. Too bad, though, I was sort of getting excited that they'd somehow bring him back. He wasn't one of my favorites, but I just thought the way they exited his character, well, sucked.

And yeah, Claire and Boone. That's something they never even hinted at. Weird.

He may come back in Shannon's flashback(s) (if she ever gets one), but beyond that, I couldn't even guess (at least without delving into spoiler territory).

I do wish he had a bit more of a heroic going out. He always wanted to be the hero. As it was, it was more like Piggy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0399501487/qid=1120584837/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/103-0065469-4708642), except substitute a Nigerian drug-plane for a big rock. However, those three eps they dedicated to his dying/death were really good.

I know. ::confused:: Oh well, they do look great together. Too bad they didn't explore that. I like Charlie/Claire and all, but Boone/Claire might have been interesting.

I tried to watch itvia the link but I couldn't because I'm hopeless, but will keep an eye out on the telly, and at the flicks. I shouldn;t be guessing at this until I've actually seen it, but maybe Channel 4 were responsible for the promo - they have dones some promos for themselves although they're not for specific shows, but it does get behind its American imports - and it might be because of percieved popularity of the actors, or something as simple as the schedules for filming that day?

That's possible. Based on the length of hair and Shannon/Sayid coupled, I'd guess it was probably filmed midseason or so. It may have also been a midseason promo rejected by ABC, but used for the European market instead.
