This is just sad. I suppose I can be grateful that when I climbed up the Pyramid of the Sun (and it's harder than it looks... those steps are *huge* and I have short legs damn it!), I didn't have to be greeted by a big fat Wal-Mart sign. In Aztec times, this would be tantamount to invasion. They'd be sacrificed to the gods!

BTW, hermine, I finally finished those wallpapers. I couldn't decide on any one style, so I went with whatever came to me at the moment. ;) I made two of

Oh my gosh, that is so awesome (and aren´t they tres pretty?!)- You did a fabulous job and I have now three new wallpapers! *rubs hands gleefully* my favourite is the one in the middle because it´s so full of action, but the last one... *purrs* Thank you so much! One of those things I love about beachvolleyball is that the guys go shirtless a lot of the time.

(*grins* I play normal volleyball in uni (mixed) and as it is winterseason over here all the beachers come inside... even with shirt they are damn fine)

Nice... and lucky. VB isn't all that big around here and even if it were... I'd rather not to see any of the men around here shirtless. The hot men are few and far between. It's good I'm exploring my sporty horizons (beyond hot swimmers... and right now I feel like I'm cheating on them. LOL).

It´s probably because it´s university only training- a lot of the guys and some of the women have played semi-professional in one of the leagues and they come to literary "have fun" with others on the same level. I guess by now I play reasonable well- no way near some of the technique of some others, but above average. Starting out was real hard though. But if you get the chance to play, try it- most of the people I met during training are at least good aquaintances. Oh and too the shirt rule: thanks to heaven that the climate forbids that most of the time here... *shudders*

I... really, I have no words for this. As much as I love this store, it seems it's taking over the world now. And it's even more painful because I haven't visited the Piramide del Sol recently (or not that I can remember), and I'm just thinking if or when I do, how it's gonna feel to climb all those steps only to see the Wal-Mart announcement in the landscape.

Maybe if we're all lucky, it will go out of business or protesters will get them out of town. Wal-Mart Azteca is just wrong dude. I mean, it was kind of sad as it was climbing to the top.... I think I actually remember seeing a McDonalds somewhere, but I need to look back at my photos to make sure. That was bad enough... but Wal-Mart? *sobs* You study abroad (from Nebraska) to try and escape ... not have it follow you around everywhere.
