1. Wolverine (X-Men) - Definitely Movieverse, hands down. Movie!Wolvie is the smoldering hotness in pretty much EVERY scene he's in. Only select comicverse (sometimes he looks like a cave troll or has his face blown off [i.e., his recent stint on The Punisher]). I'd throw EVO in there for the whole hot for teacher thing, but not the 90s animated series. Although he was atypically Wolvie in it and the Wolvie experience is pretty much hot in anything, I can't even watch the series now (even though I ate it up when I was younger). The dialogue is pretty damn bad and the cheap, early 90s, American animation is even worse (There were times Wolvie's claws looked like toothpicks. Yeah, not very threatening). What would I give to see an angsty, broody, hot anime Wolvie.
   
   
2. Aragorn (LOTR) - The movies more than the books since it's the Viggo and Book!Aragorn isn't necessarily Viggo in my mind. However, what do I need to say really? He's one of the protagonists of LOTR (if there is one) and ... It's Viggo. He works dirty-hot like no one else.
   
   
3. Richard Riddick (Pitch Black) - Normally, I think Vin Diesel is a huge assclown, but I'll make an exception with Riddick (and maybe "The Iron Giant" but I don't classify that as a VD movie). Riddick reminds me of Wolverine, but more cold-blooded and sociopathic... somehow that worked for me. "Pitch Black" in a whole was surprisingly good too.
   
   
4. Colonel Brandon (Sense & Sensibility) - Book or movie. Older man, wealthy and sensitive. Marianne never deserved him (although I still think Kate Winslet is all kinds of pretty). The Alan Rickman casting was sheer brilliance.
   
   
5. Eomer (LOTR) - Once again, books or movies. Snarky, Nordic, fierce and ... two oliphaunts with one spear. Nuff said.
   
   
6. Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean) - He OWNED that movie and it's Johnny. He's not seething with every ounce of Johnny hotness, but it was there (That look after he shoots Barbossa and he knows he's finally killed him. Any moment where it looks like the gears are working in Jack's head = The hotness). This Johnny is also damn funny, uses a sword and had more chemistry with Will and Elizabeth then Will/Elizabeth. If this list were longer, however, Wade "Cry Baby" Walker and Don Juan DeMarco would probably be on it, but not before Jack Sparrow.
   
   
7. Michael Vaughn (Alias) - Seasons one and two. Sure Vaughn was always kind of boring and unyieldingly boyscout, but when he threw Haladki up against the wall in season one? The black kevlar? When he spoke French? "Yeah. I'll break into the Vatican with you." God damn, I'd totally still do him. However, this season three perpetually angsty, boring *and* lovelorn married Vaughn? He doesn't really do anything for me. At least he still looks good.
   
   
8. Leto Atreides II (Children of Dune) - MINISERIES not the books. Mainly because, in the books, Leto II is either a child or doning the Shai'Hulud look, there's no James McAvoy. Despite my belief Miniseries!LetoII is in love with his sister, 20-something Leto II was a very nice aberration from the Harbarts cannon. Leto II also has all those massive godlike powers, so it must be a power-trip thing.
   
   
9. Xavier Suarez (Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights) - Passionate, pretty and frequents hot Cuban dance clubs. Admittedly, this is kind of a flavor of the moment choice, but it is Diego and DD:HN was a gratuitous, wanton display of every bit of hotness mixed with boyish charm we knew he had in YTMT ... AND there's hip swivelling.
   
   
10. Sesshoumaru-sama (Inu Yasha) - You can't get much more fictional than an animated character. You know if he were a flesh & blood actor, he'd *have to be* hot. All tall, androgenous, suave, scary and evil.

Well, I ignore the whole Robin thing. I don't get the anime habit of having these older guys setting their sites on young girls. Wasn't Sailor Moon 14 or something? Tuxedo Mask you dog!

On a side note...why the heck doesn't CN have any adult swim on Friday nights? I hate that. Frankly I have had it up to here *holds hand waaaaay over head* with Scooby Doo. And Mucha Lucha? *throws tantrum* I HATE THAT SHOW WITH A PASSION!!!!!

I want an all anime all the time channel. (or I can just borrow the DVD's from my brother in law...he has thousands to chose from)

why the heck doesn't CN have any adult swim on Friday nights?

I assume CN Friday Nights exist because, honestly, there isn't much kid-friendly programming on during or after primetime (barring the Disney Channel). Adult Swim, although I wouldn't doubt a lot of kids watch it, isn't wholly kid friendly. And how many nights a week are kids allowed to stay up late besides Friday or Saturday nights? CN is capitalizing on that and it's pretty much the only channel that has anything kid-friendly on that late at night. Adult Swim, although more entertaining for the older crowd, has to compete with latenight talk shows for the 18-35 demographic it usually targets. It's stiff competition.

I remember when I used to like that show growing up. Although, like so many other things, it's been bastardized and turned it into a cashcow. The new Scooby shows are completely unentertaining and the movies are even worse. Then again, I find it difficult to watch the old school SD cartoons too. I guess I've outgrown SD.

None of the original Cartoon Network shows are very entertaining to me. Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack aren't too bad, but you see a few eps, you've seen them all. Makes me glad I don't have kids and would have to be perpetually subject to something like "Codename: Kids Next Door".

Petition your cable company to get the Anime Network (http://www.theanimenetwork.com/index.html). ;) Although unfortunately, only a select few markets have carried it.

Yeah, I figured that Friday night thing was all for kids being able to stay up late. But still, my kids don't stay up that that late. My hub and I sit there staring at each other on Fridays, wondering what to watch. I think we are both spoiled and addicted.

I recall the original run (God I'm old) of Scooby. It was ok then, but like the Flintstones reruns, they get very old after a while. The new ones just make me sick. I do like Fairly Odd Parents though on Nick, and Samuri Jack is harmless if repetitive. But the rest? *rolls eyes*

Unfortunately I have a dish, the same Dish network that almost lost CBS of all things. I'm certain I could write to them and request Anime Network, but I'm also certain it would come with another one of those package deals. I yearn for the day when a person can pick and chose what they want on cable and satellite. I have no use for HSN, or C-Span, or all those thousands of sports channels. If someone wants those fine, I don't, but am forced to get them anyway just to have Nick and Cartoon Network for my kids.
