re: vague ausiello spoiler
Jan. 21st, 2010 07:23 amThat SPN is poor and they're not just going to kill off an actor's character when they still have to pay the actor for a whole 17 eps? Since I doubt Jimmy will come back and be Dean-Sam's magic helper (or Gabriel will suddenly pop up and replace Cas), Cas isn't going anywhere.
I suppose I should include the spoiler...
It could be Anna (meh). Though she's hardly "pivotal", even if "Heaven & Hell" was all about her. However, for upcoming shenanigans, I could believe Michael or Lucifer explode her like a water balloon of Chunky soup. However, since JM thinks it's possible she'll be sticking around, I still think she'll live and maybe go darkside? IDKY I think this. Apart from women in SPN often either being 1) Quickly disappeared to likely never be seen from again 2) Dead or 3) Evil. Anna's made a few appearances, so nix on the first option, JM thinks she'll be back, so that leaves the third.
Maybe it's God? XD Which would mean Kripke is pilfering ideas from Philip Pullman. Or possibly The Authority. Or any other story God has died (and probably deserved it). Whether God is the "soon" death or not, I could still believe God may be dead or die (this season) eventually. Possibly like Bobby (and John and Mary, etc etc), that would really drive home, not just with Dean-Sam, but the entirety of the Host (the ones not insane anyway.... which pretty much is Cas) that All We Have Is Each Other So We Gots To Stick Together band o' brothers theme that Kripke loves. The "brothers" being angels and humans, both children of God. The Host can either sink (which seems to be most of them? Most likely not wanting to believe they're helpless on the same sinking boat the monkeys are) or persevere/have a major existential evolution for the sake of survival (Cas?). Then the rest/majority of the Host either continue on the crazy train and/or battle for superiority up in Heaven. O hai possible conflict for season 6 if it happens.

Question: Supernatural? Anything? —ChristopherI'm thinking it is going to be Bobby (NOOOOOOOOOOO!!) because Kripke is a HUGE Joseph Campbell fanboy and Bobby is the mentor. The mentor almost always dies in Campbell stories. His mental state is also shaky since "The Curious Case.." and that depressed/sad look he gave at the end, behind Dean's back, said to me he wasn't really over it. He's also probably got to kill his (zombie)wife in 5x15. I wouldn't be shocked he goes out with her, Ellen-Jo style.
Ausiello: A somewhat pivotal character will die soon. Guesses? Head to the comments.

Date: 2010-01-22 01:22 am (UTC)I've never been real into the Bobby character. If he dies, meh. I'd rather see him fight his way back, learn to walk again, than see him die in a hole of self-despair. But if they're not going to develop him any further, then sure, let's see him die. *shrug*
