He was 'killed' in the season four final and they might not want to do that again, but if there is a sixth season Kripke will probably wrap up the angel storyline, which means either Cas falls, dies for good or goes back to Heaven.
'Kripke probably knows who's going to be dying this season, but I'd much rather think it's just for the midseason cliffhanger.'
Yeah, I kind of expect SOMEONE to die in the mid season cliffhanger. Kripke does love killing people off.
