  • So Dean was the first seal, how much you want to bet Sam will be the last?

  • Yes Sam, we all know how weak you think Dean is for being remorseful for torturing souls for a decade. Not everyone can be as strong and brilliant (and cold-blooded and short-sighted) as you, the demon-sucker. God, I hope all the more Ruby has an agenda (or she's really Meg) and she's playing Sam like a fiddle. To make her arc not a total waste of time, but also deflate that gigantic demon-sucker head who really and truly cannot see the forest for the trees. Sam is SOOO fucked.

  • I do feel bad for Sam though, his actions are getting results and has been very useful, but... dear God, that arrogance. Of course, the more he calls Dean a little pussy, the more that makes me think Dean will indeed be looming over him with a figurative fire axe again in the finale. Do not underestimate your (scary, unhinged, tortured-souls-for-a-decade) brother Sam, you really really shouldn't.

  • My money is Kripke was playing up the sympathy with Anna just so he can kill her when she shows up in the finale and she'll be the big death (one of them anyway). Hopefully along with Ruby. Anna was more tolerable in this ep (partly as she wasn't the focus, that actress really couldn't carry an ep), but writers still beating the Sue drums hard with her and Ruby. Both their arcs have been messes. They kill off Pamela and now Uriel, two characters played by excellent actors, and then keep around JM's Anna and GC's Ruby. Enough is enough Krip, stop cutting the good ones, dammit!!

  • Was a little baffled why the angels had to fight each other in their meatsuits... apart from the CGI budget creaking from the strain.

  • Uriel. You were a Magnificent Bastard, but not quite Magnificent enough. Although I have a feeling he's not the one who's been calling the shots in the Save Lucifer campaign topside. Whoever that may be most likely will be more scary powerful than him, Cas and Anna combined.

  • Answer me this, why hasn't Dean killed himself yet? John was such Ubermensche, he didn't break in Hell, but Dean not only broke and was torturing souls for a decade which torments him now.... but also caused the frickin' Apocalypse?? The subtitle of this season really is "Let's All Shit On Dean Winchester (Cuz He Cries So Pretty)", isn't it?

  • It certainly does look like Dean and Cas are on parallel paths going in, more or less, the same direction. Too much weight on both their shoulders, Dean the Apocalypse on his and Cas dangerously (but necessarily) close to falling (but still there for Dean when he woke up I noticed, where was Sam??) while Sam is in no real condition as he's not really seeing Dean while high off the demon skank crack. You know Cas is and will be Dean's wingman when Sam is not there for him and I think that's going to become more frequent as the season goes on, not less. Cas also lost a brother... and there is Dean, seemingly losing his.

  • However, the ep still did nothing to dissuade from my belief Dean = Lucifer. Dean is the only one that can stop Luc, because he is in fact Luc. Dean (the righteous man) vs. Demon!Dean (the unrighteous "so beautiful" fallen angel, the true part of Dean that was "left behind" in Hell) in DALDOM was foreshadowing.

  • To be more powerful than Mr. Alastair Squasher (Alastair who gave angels a hard time and beat down Cas twice), Dean would have to be pretty damn powerful. *cough*Lucifer*cough*

  • Although I think I might know why Cas is apparently going to be a new regular next season... so he can get hand-to-hand training from Dean. God damn, Cas. Stop getting him PWNed Kripke!!

I still dislike new!Ruby, but I didn't mind Anna that much. Granted, I was totally in shock when they killed Pam and goddamn it, they had to kill Uriel too! Fuck this. I want Uriel back.

I haven't thought about the Dean=Lucifer theory. Unlike LOST, I don't speculate too much into this series and expect my surprises with each new episode.

Damn. Still missing Uriel. I think I'll need more SPN icons.

I actually liked Uriel because you just loved to hate the bastard. However much of a dick he was, I liked the idea the dick was still fighting for the good guys. I also loved his interactions with Dean. Writers, this cutting the fat, I don't believe it means what you think it means. At least they held onto Misha Collins when they could, so they're not a total loss.

Ruby and Anna were moderately more tolerable in this ep than previously (Ruby showed a little sinister and for however nicey nice Anna is acting, I don't trust her and I'm not sure we're supposed to), but I swear if they're alive by the end of the season while we've had to let go of all these characters/actors neither one can hold a candle to? That's going to be really fucking annoying. I'm going to keep hoping because they want to save their pennies to keep Misha longer next season and maybe try to snag Jeffrey Dean Morgan for maybe one guest shot next season, they won't be able to afford to piss cash away on GC and JM anymore.

I thought the same thing! They're angels, why are they punching each other?! Let's see some badass angel brawling! But you're right, they probably can't afford to do it properly. :(

HAHA, so true. On both points.

Of course, if they did miraculously get more money out of Dawn Ostroff, we'd probably either get more CGI and explody things or more classic rock. I don't think I could choose between them.

He does cry awfully pretty though. XD However, when Dean starts kicking ass again and we know he will... I'm kind of scared with the direction they've been going with him this season. I think Dean is heading towards snapping and Sam is probably going to be at the receiving end of it (although he kind of deserves it, the arrogant piss-ant and his demon sucky sucky powers. Where does he get off calling Dean weak and not able to get things done? Who went to Hell, Sam? It wasn't you!!).

Or Katie Cassidy back. I wish.

ROFL, this made me laugh. I love our Sammy and I can see that he's clearly an addict now, so he's acting like an addict (supernatural power being his drug), but at the same time, how DARE he call Dean whiny for not being able to deal with what he went through in Hell. Dean went to hell to save you, Sammy! He suffered for 40 Hell years for YOU, Sammy. And you call him weak and whiny? Can I smack him around now?
