Girlcrush + fantastic telly post-apocalyptic story = EPIC
Oh pls Beeb not to be screwing this one up!! This could be so. very. good. if they do it well. The apocalypse is so underrepresented on tv (at least in the truly epic, awesome way). IIRC, wasn't Jenny one of the most important characters in the original series? I've only unfortunately managed to see the select ep here and there, but wasn't she in all three series of the original? They could change it in the remake, but if that holds, Freema would be playing one of the most significant characters if not the most in the whole ensemble.
Although this might make me hate her a little since if anyone would look hot without any running water or make-up (unless they use the Lost or Jericho cheats and everyone still manages to be hot despite the supposed loss/collapse of modern civilization and all it's conveniences)? It probably would be her. She's too gorgeous for her own good.

Rumor has it her character was the only one to make it through the entire show, which is excellent news if accurate.

I'm watching her in "Little Dorrit" of course, but I can give or take most of the Beeb's period dramas. "Survivors" isn't only sci/spec-fi, but it's also aimed at an older crowd. A more hard sci-fi than Who with much heavier dramatic leanings.

I heard this as well. Now I'm that much more intrigued to watch the entire series. I've been wanting to for awhile, but this Freema business has me a bit rabid to watch now.
