[livejournal.com profile] velvet_dream1 at the [livejournal.com profile] a2ashes comm has graciously provided scans from Radio Times' coverage of their covers party which includes that quite adorkable pic of David and Freema holding one of their RT covers which I saw posted on LoM yesterday in a very tiny version.

Notice the caption. It sounds like Freema charmed one of the "Heroes" exec producers. He's also an exec producer on "Pushing Daisies". If Freema could get on either one of those shows? Oh my. "Heroes" is obviously the more int'l famous, but "Pushing Daisies" - although a tad twee for my tastes - for anyone whose seen it knows it's one of the better shows from this season.

So totally post that to [livejournal.com profile] freema_love.

Though I am deeply curious if it's the sort of thing that will cause wank among Heroes fen.

If it's wank for the reasons I'm suspecting, it might.

Although I'd wonder if she did get on "Heroes", how quick would folks be pairing her with Claude? Whether or not they'd have any scenes together.

I would die of fandom joy if she appeared in either show.

Literally die.

It would be so sweet to be able to point at something that my most Who-resistant friends would watch and say, "See! This is why I drive y'all crazy with this Martha Jones obsession!" Like enlightening the unkempt masses of the wonders of going Gay (or Straight) for Freema. NBC/ABC would be doing all a service!

I don't even watch Heroes and I think that would be so cool.

Her catchy tagline would be, "Save the Time Lord, Save the World".

Although Christopher Eccleston has a recurring role on "Heroes" (or at least he hasn't been completely killed off yet). The moment there was the slightest inkling she had a part in the show? The sudden rapid succession of Nine/Martha fic would probably give us all whiplash.

D'you suppose that the same people who abandoned Nine/Rose for Ten/Rose so fast it gave you whiplash would suddenly get their knickers in a knot about Nine/Martha (or Claude/Freema's Heroes character) and rush in to write reams of shitty Claude/Rose or whatever to "rectify" matters? Because you know they'd obsessively watch her character just to make sure they really can't stand Freema, and make snotty little comments about how Billie "deserves" an American series more, and...

Wouldn't shock me. I've already heard some who x-over fic/ship Martha with Tennant's other roles have gotten some attitude. Don't see why behaviors around Eccleston's roles would be much different.

make snotty little comments about how Billie "deserves" an American series more

Of course they'd say that, but never actually want her to leave Blighty shores to do an American series. Since surely she's coming back to Who forever 'n' ever to make all their drose wank fantasties come true.

Will they still need her, will they still feed her, when she's sixty-four?
