I was just wandering around AICN and I spotted this report of apparently an animated prequel based on "Van Helsing". AICN also posted pictures to contrast and compare.

VIDEO STUDIO: Universal
Unveiling The Extraordinary Beginning of The Van Helsing Adventure With the All-New Original Animated Film Prequel.

Loaded with bonus features, including cast and crew interviews and an in-depth look at Van Helsing's groundbreaking special effects.
Is this going to be anime? That box is looking like a pretty far cry from Yoshitaka Amano, but then Amano is fucking amazing. NOT an easy person to emulate. I suppose we shouldn't judge by the cover.
Too bad Hugh didn't do the voice of Wolvie in "Wolverine's Revenge". It might have made the game more playable.

The one, the only.
Those who are making the "Van Helsing" and VHD comparisons... I'm thinking that is more warranted then ever.
Universal seems to be throwing a lot of weight behind VH. This animated prequel, I also heard rumors about an animated series as well as a theme park ride. They better hope VH doesn't totally bomb.
