2.05 Lost "...And Found"
Oct. 19th, 2005 07:56 pmEp isn't over yet, but I'd bet you anything - as I was thinking previously - some of the tailaways got "sick" and thus... the "trust issues".
Ok, saw the ep, and although I liked it, does it seem to anyone else that the flashbacks almost seem pointless this season for some reason? Like they don't resonate with the island events as well as they did last season. Sun angsting about Jin angsting about Michael. Maybe it's just me.
"I think they're gonna eat us". Heh. Wouldn't surprise me Sawyer.
The Others are creepy... and have no shoes. Nice teddy bear on a noose. You think they have a kid fascination, maybe?
Kate is angsting about Sawyer... and Sawyer is hitting on Ana Lucia. tee heee
Woman in the Orange Dress? (Yet another) Possible Matrix shout-out?
I like Eko. Still don't like Ana Lucia (Why isn't Eko the leader?). Michael doesn't deserve Libby (or maybe she does if she reveals herself a screaming harpy who stupidly charges off into the jungle trying to get himself killed. How is he going to find Walt if he's dead?).
With a name like "Mr. Eko" (echo)... I suppose not coming back would be inexcusable. ;)
There were a couple references to colors in this ep, silver, bronze and orange. I'm sure that means something. What? I don't know.
"You never seem angry"... Frankly, I don't think I want to see Locke angry...... on second thought, yeah, I do. ;)
"Fish." Doesn't speak English and totally PWNED Ana Lucia. ::loves Jin::
How is it we can't go by one ep as it would seem without getting some kind of anvilicious hint about Jack and his divorcee/widower/I ate my wife's liver with some fava beans and some nice chianti/wife-abducted-by-aliens/what.ever status? I get it. Jack has wife angst (and it will undoubtedly feature in the later plot)... but how many times do we need to be told?
The promo for the next ep (in THREE frickin WEEKS!!) looks great... and bittersweet. Very bittersweet.
ETA. Is it just me, or does it seem like husband/wife issues are MORE prevalent this season then they were in the last? Jack and his Sarah-angst. Michael and his non-wife (Susan) angst. Hurley's mom hassling him to find a good woman. Sun's parents playing matchmaker / arranging marriages and the Jin/Sun issues (and rich, bald Mr. Lee and his American fiance he met at Harvard). Sawyer asking AL if she's married (reflecting AL's same question to Jack in Exodus) and saying she's the type. Bernard/Rose. Even Eko, a character we've seen for like five minutes tops, seems to have marriage angst. I know balance and pairs are really big in this show, that's probably why... but it seems more than that too.

Date: 2005-10-20 02:28 am (UTC)The flashbacks were kind of pointless, but I do love Jin and Sun. The parallel plots weren't genius and didn't really push the story, but at least they were well-written.

Date: 2005-10-20 02:31 am (UTC)Actually, given that Locke is a main character, Eko probably would not win. But he should, because he is that cool.
