They might not actually become animagi, but I'm not nixing the possibility they could try. ;) There's also metamorphmagus ability they could practice too. That could be one of Tonks' tasks in the next book. Some secret metamorphmagus training maybe. Harry has possibly displayed some inherent ability towards it already (inadvertantly making his hair grow back overnight).
