You ever go through your closet and find boxes labelled "high school CDs"... and you just can't help but pop them in the CD player for some sick reason? I was listening to Skid Row "I'll Remember You" a little while ago, so my subject line could be worse.
Since I should have more substance in an entry than testaments of my crappy music taste...
devildoll if you're out there, I didn't want to send you another e-mail since I know your box can get crazy.... I just wanted to say, "That's cool [about using the EVO caps]". I'm still around the W/R fandom, just not around around. HP has been taking up more time in my mind than it should.
[random]Am I the only one out there that thinks Michael Phelps (the arms... GAH!) is a hottie? Right down to his lisp. He has a bit of a butterface though, doesn't he? Then again, the swimmer's bod more than makes up for that. I love how that cell phone service (AT&T? Verizon?) commercial he's in works the slo-mo... he's everso ducimally lifting his dripping wet self out of that pool. Nice. But he's 19. Too young. Too. damn. young. And I'm a dirty old lady. Yet i find myself fluctuating between Thorpedo (Ozzie Ozzie!! Oi oi oi!! Although what's with Aussies and these pornstar names? "Thorpedo"? Jackman? Come on!), Phelps and various men's soccer teams. ::loffs the Olympics::
Editing because this is relevant damn it.

"Hottie"? I need to stop listening to the greatest hits of the early 90s I think. God. I'm reverting back to the ninth grade.

Date: 2004-08-21 02:06 am (UTC)Okay, I'll take your word for it, even though your very next post in your LJ was about...Harry Potter. Hee!
Sorry, that was too funny to not mention.
And will do on the caps. Thanks.

Date: 2004-08-21 02:16 am (UTC)Hey! There's olympics squee in there ... somewhere.
Sorry, that was too funny to not mention.
Make fun of my Potter OCD why don't you. I swear Scholastic lines the pages of those books with crack.

Date: 2004-08-21 02:48 am (UTC)Nope. Because we only had LPs, with the switchover to commerical cassettes just emerging.
1970s: No Internet, no ATMs, no answering machines, no VCRs, no computers, no cell phones, no photocopy machines (dittos!), and no cable TV.
I just had to reply, because every now and then I realize how much has changed since I first voted in a presidential election.

Oh, but... well, yes, he is.
His face actually looks like a mexican singer that was really popular back in the 90's, Pablo Ruiz, ever heard of him?
Maybe if you hadn't been talking about that way-back music I wouldn't have related this guy to him, heh.

Date: 2004-08-21 05:57 pm (UTC)The nostalgia thing still holds true though. Have an LPs in the back of your closet? ;) I think I still have Michael Jackson's "Thriller" on LP in the attic at my parents' house.

Date: 2004-08-21 09:40 pm (UTC)Possibly I'm busy looking forward. And after sorting through my mother's home last year, I'm reluctant to keep things unless I'm using them now.
