various trivialities
Apr. 26th, 2004 08:35 pmSince I've been sorrowfully neglectful of my journal (beyond the occassional fangirly HP post), I thought I'd post something (anything) to prove I'm still alive (and sometimes I really hate my job, but rather not talk about that).
I figured I put in a shade of green I'd get Rogue, however, I do happen to like jade so it all works out. But who the hell is Gary Stu?
For my fetish of the moment...

Looks good with plenty o' angsty HoYay. Can't beat that! Too bad it's only on Saturday night AS.
So the majority of the current "Van Helsing" reviews at AICN aren't good. I'm not surprised, but then again AICN never fully appreciated the wonders of mesmerizing Australian chesticles as some of us can. The movie looked like sh!te from the off, no doubt, but ... like I'm going to be paying attention to things like acting, direction or storyline. HalfNekkid!Hugh! Weeeeee
For the few on my friends list who went all shamefully giggly for Diego's swivelling hips in "Havana Nights", I hear the Reg 1 DVD release is July 20. Speaking of Diego and if you're really desperate for a fix, there is a very brief shot of him in the new "The Terminal" trailer (the new Spielberg / Hanks movie).
Totally random, but I want this just so I can watch Wolverine in the tank top standing in the doorway in X2, over and over again, 7ft x 4ft in my living room. ONLY if I had an extra $3-4,000 lying around! Damn it!

That's how I've always had it explained to me, at least.

Well suck. That's kind of boring. I'd rather hope for something more interesting... like Colossus or someone.
Re: Hmmm....
Date: 2004-04-29 04:06 am (UTC)That's what's got me watching. It's one of the better animes I've seen on AS in awhile. Next to Bebop, but then I've seen all of Bebop about three or four times now.

Date: 2004-04-29 01:02 pm (UTC)My brother in law is an anime freak and he has hundreds of shows that I haven't heard of before. He likes to drag a few out when we have a family get together. I've been wanting to borrow his Armitage series for a while, but he keeps "forgetting" to get it out for me.
And I am waiting for the next Ghost in the Shell movie too. Looks great from the tiny bit I could get from the trailer on my clunky computer.
Ich, to go from something as visually stunning as Wolf's Rain or BeBop to the vomit that is Mucha Lucha.....it just makes me want to cry. (Although I have a special place in my heart for Fairly Odd Parents.) And what the heck is that Ripping Friends crud? Ugh......
