Lost in Austen

I was wondering whether I should fess-up about my enjoyment of this series. I feel partly like I've been lured into someone's (admittedly, quite entertaining, I suppose that's all that should matter) self-insert Mary Sue crackfic... but also can't really feel too ashamed about it.
