For those out there who still have a crush on Han (and who have or would be willing to game), apparently they're making a video game where you can unlock and play as Han called "Mercenaries" (for XBox). As much as the idea of royalty money of any sort finding it's way on George "the originals were only 25% complete" Lucas' lap.... I'm going to have to make an exception with this. I may also *possibly* consider Lego Star Wars too. In vein of my amusement of Lego!Spidey. But LegoSW is based on the nulogy. Meh. Even with the draw of Lego!Ewan in action, I don't think I can do it. However, I wouldn't doubt if LegoSW-Nulogy does well, then they'll base one on the original too. Lego!Han? I'm there.

This is only slightly less nerdy then the above I'm afraid, but in my last post I was rambling on about how video game trailers are sometimes looking as good or sometimes even better than movie trailers. I think the trailer for Xenosaga II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose can fit into that previous rambling. That trailer is crazy. I liked the first "Xenosaga" (Der Wille zur Macht), but recently I've been on this whole alchemy kick with HP and the "Xenosaga/gears" series is FULL of alchemical symbols & metaphors. Thus, I'm more intrigued with XenoII than I'd probably normally would be. It's also very pretty. The game design is gorgeous.

As I've seemed to have embraced my nerdiness in this entry... NECA has a Marvin the Paranoid Android action figure in the works. It will be out in April. As will the Arthur Dent figure. They're already selling a Vogon desktop set. NECA is also making the figures for Sin City. He won't be in Series 1, but they're likely going to be making one of Dwight (aka, Clive Owen) eventually. I believe there were action figures made for "King Arthur"... but, truthfully, I think I'd rather have a Dwight. A true to life Clive Owen (Dwight) action figure seems very filthy on many levels.

TLC just posted some new various pics from HP&GOF 2006 Calendars. One of which is of...
Viktor Krum ).

He's pretty much what I was expecting him to look like. Perhaps with little less of the stereotypical Eastern Block chiseled jaw, but he has a Bulgarian quality to him nonetheless. Money is on the young actor probably towering over Dan (then again, that wouldn't be so hard. Dan isn't very tall, is he?). It's how he sounds that will probably be most vital ("I vont to know... vot is there between you and Hermy-own-ninny").

Also, that TLC link above includes pics of Harry in a bathrobe holding his Golden Egg (heading for the Prefect's Bathroom... a little pre-emptive squeeage for those on my FL who I know frequent The Bad Place) and conceptual art for the Merfolk, a bit of the Dark Mark and a small pic of one of the Dragons.

So... the movie's look seems ok. For now. I'm still reserved on Newell's take on GOF. In all accounts, quite a big chunk of the book has been cut (it's only logical considering how thick that book is and no indication GOF is any longer than any of the other movies). I'm taking a wait and see approach.

Sort of on topic [not really], but here's the GOF H/Hr pic. Just because. )
