The impression I got is Cas is the big *V*, but apparently it didn't even dawn on Dean to wonder if he plays for the home team or not... or it did and he's trying to be cool about it then make his move.
I think Dean/Cas has left the sub in subtext behind a long a time ago. *rubs hands gleefully*
Or Kripke has just lost all means of subtlety, because really, it's just not subtle or sneaky anymore to me. I don't even think I'm digging for it either. It's just ridiculous the past two eps and Cas has barely been there!
