Just one district Nebraska!! Come on!! If Indiana and Virginia can go blue, you can!! One district! It's all I ask. Next time, the other districts too. [/hopes] Hell, Texas was freaking me out early on with how blue it was going. Austin (of course), but San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, El Paso and nearly every county bordering Mexico went blue. Goddamn.

For no real reason except being one of many giddy dems/glad dems won, here's one of my fave vids from this campaign. Chris Matthews thoroughly owns ignorant neocon gasbag Kevin James on "Hardball".

ETA. Happy Nov. 5, UK! XD

I was one of the people who made Dallas blue! Seriously, Mr. Tater and I went to early voting a week ago Sunday, and we were there at 1 PM when the polls opened and still waited an hour in line. Turnout was huge here. People went to church, ate, and then to the polls. It was pretty awesome to see. The Valley being blue was impressive. Maybe we're slowly emerging from the shadow of the Deep South.

Alas, I heard that there were some racial tensions at my alma mater, Baylor. Shouting and slurs and such. *headdesk*

Always nice to hear one of those Repug talking point noise machines taken down several notches and all their bile is exposed for how empty it really is.

Because you and your hubby are awesome. XD

I was really impressed how long y'all were hanging on to the blue. That couldn't have been an easy feat. So go TX Obama ground team!

That's really unfortunate. You expect shit like that from the Aggies, namely lately, but not Baylor.

There are times when I want to strangle Chris Matthews, but other times I absolutely love him. That was a good show right there.

I did my part here in Pennsylvania. Although the state was a beautiful shade of blue, my particular county held on to the redness with a deathgrip, but like I said, I did my part.

Last night, being the only one awake in the house, I spent a good three hours or so flipping between the three cable networks. CNN and MSNBC were doing their jobs well, but I was positively rolling on the floor whenever I flipped to FOX News. I swear to GOD it was as if someone died. MSNBC was not that dejected and down when Tim Russert died. It was hilarious to watch (I believe it was Brit Hume), with his downcast expression, mumbling and completely depressed. I wish I had taped it for my hubby. Just the difference in attitudes and atmosphere. CNN and MSNBC talking about history and showing all the celebrations around the country and the world, and then FOX, and its' wake-like atmosphere.

Oh, my God. He doesn't know what the Munich Agreement was. I… I don't think he even knows there was a Munich Agreement. Yet he feels passionately about it. Very passionately. Terrifyingly passionately.

Well, I'm suitably terrified.

(I'd completely forgotten that it's Guy Fawkes Day! XD)

I heard how depressed the Fox News anchors were and it almost makes me wish I flipped over there. Almost. Although I think I might have blocked it on my tv. LOL

Loud Mr. Vapid Talking points is loud. I hope he cried long and hard Tuesday night or better, he's out of a job. He has his own radio show but after the above display and a new liberal gov't...?
