Got surprisingly emo at the end there, didn't it? I wasn't really expecting it, but I found all of it completely believable. A lot of great dramatic acting and depth for a quirky Get Smart-meets-MIB show.
I wasn't sure what Wendy's look was about at the end there either, but she seemed so sad standing there all alone. I'm stuck between her feeling really bad for her boss and her bff (Lacey was obviously upset)... or she was feeling some jealousy/sadness because Pillow Lips clearly prefers Lacey's company in that way. Perhaps both? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but did Wendy say, "I'd be lucky to have you"? If she did, that does make me lean to her secretly crushing on MM and she didn't want him dating Lacey because A) It complicates things and puts her bff in danger B) She's had feelings for him from the beginning and was afraid of the competition. We also don't hear nearly as much about the turmoils in Lacey's lovelife as we do Wendy's, which makes me think Lacey has had much better luck in that area than Wendy and I think WW might have issues about that. Her winning MM (when all he does is treat her like a plucky sidekick, calling her "Dubbie" all the time) is the most recent issue on top of everything else.
It would make me so very sad if this show was canceled. We have much evidence it excels in the geekery and funny, but it's apparently darn good at the drama too. Although things don't seem to be looking too good. BLAH ABCFam!!
