Grave of the Fireflies on TCM

If anyone is interested in watching (or rewatching) possibly one of the saddest movies ever made, flip over to Turner Classic Movies at 9C.

Saddest. Movie. Ever.

However, I wouldn't suggest watching it unless you have a surplus supply of Kleenex and/or tequila. Possibly also something happy afterwards to balance it out. Thus why I keep this next to Totoro on the DVD shelf.

Good idea keeping it next to Totoro... ;0;

You can't just *watch* this movie and be done with it. You have to cleanse the palette afterwards... I can't imagine what sorts of dreams I'd end up having if this were the last thing I watched tonight. Just... no way this is the last thing I'm watching... but I can't not watch it. It's so good, but... so damn sad. Like relentlessly sad.

I totally agree with you. Only bad nightmares can come from this when watching it this late, XD!!!

And I must be a glutton for punishment, because I'm watching it. Funny that every time I get done watching this movie, I say it will be the last because I don't think I can stand another viewing... but here I am. Torturing myself. Again! *sighs*

OMG............. You SOOOO need to play it!!! It really is the best, but much like Kajiura's music, you'll either absolutely love the ending, or you will loathe it, XD!!!

I'll try not to spoil, but I love the third one the most~
