Jericho - 206 - Sedition

Jericho!! *flails*

Oh my dearest flist, why aren't you watching this show? Why you gotta have me making the wild flaily arms alone (minus [livejournal.com profile] missperkigoth, cuz she knows, my friends, she knows)?? I'd be reccing it hard if I didn't think it was going to be cancelled next week, which every logical bone in my body says it's going to be. *cries* I should be more embarrassed how this show (an American tv show, no less. On CBS) makes me go mad batshit fangirly every Tuesday... but I just can't manage to be. Feels a bit nice to be this flaily over the tv box again.

Well... at least he didn't waterboard him [/grasps for silver lining] Damn you Beck, why did you have to go all Gestapo?? Laughed a lot when Jake totally threw how much of a screw-up Beck has been right in his face. Neither Johnston nor Grandpa would have let things get as bad as they've gotten. Damn right they wouldn't have!!

But I still want Beck to join Team Awesome (and was it just me, or did Beck's wife look a bit like Heather? No wonder he's squiffy for her). That's a given. No matter how much of an almost-waterboarding, Gestapo idiot he's been. Please say he at least sees Cheyenne somewhat for the monsters they are before the show ends, then again...

John. Smith. IS. INSANE. The other side isn't looking much saner! I thought Hawkins was about to cry that moment with Jake in the cabin at the end and I was suddenly terrified. Not that I'd blame the guy, but if Hawkins is driven to tears? They should all be very, very afraid.

Whose plan was it trading the army trucks for Jake? That was pretty dumb. Bet that one was Eric's. WTG genius!

But thank God for Gail Green who will save them all TRUFAX Mayor Mom is so very win and competent and signed up to Jericho's revolution. She's quite observant and has totally seen "Sneakers".

OMGZ Cheyenne has the bomb!! Immediately accompanied with, OMGZ Cheyenne is gonna get blown up by the bomb!!

"Next American Civil War"? There MUST be a season three. There simply must.

Why haven't I heard of this show?

I hear CBS is largely to blame with schedule juggling and lack of proper promoting, but you're definitely not alone. No one is watching it hence it's likely imminent, second cancellation (they canceled it after the first season but a fan campaign saved it)... and I just don't understand it dude. I'd say this show is no better or worse then it's fellow dramatic, action-leaning ensembles "Heroes" or "Lost", but this show struggles just to keep it's head above water. Maybe it's one conspiracy-theory laden, overly-pretty ensemble drama too many?

If you've got any spare time and I also linked it above, but here's the first ep (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/video/video.php?cid=446407299&pid=Iz6PSJPNt_ITmxF_E2wSPnAHb1y6I3ZR&play=true&cc=0), if you were at all interested. You can watch the entire first season at the link as well as five eps of the second (admittedly the show starts a little slowly and soapy but about halfway through becomes an entirely different show. Massive government conspiracies and cover-ups, civil war, action, death, drama. The whole shebang). Tonight's ep should be up tomorrow morning. But like I said, I feel really cagey about reccing since the show probably doesn't have a future. At least not on CBS. *cries again*

I KNOW! My jaw was on the damn floor during that whole confession time from "John Smith".

Gah. Yeah, the guns and trucks thing was a WTF moment for me too! I'm totally betting it was Eric's idea. :P

And Hawnkins. *gulps* Oh man. I may not survive the week!

And Beck thinks he's a terrorist. While Jake & Hawkins have to get the bomb back, avoiding Beck & his Gitmo room, in an ironic twist have to actually save Orwell's nightmare of dystopia central, Cheyenne. And there's possibly only one ep left EVER. UGH This just can't be. Not when the revolution has only JUST started and Jake is dropping "the next American Civil War" in the trailer. It's just cruel dammit!! I don't know how they can possibly wrap up anything in one ep I just hope Jake & Hawkins don't die.
