Although I still lament the lack of money in the SJA budget. I was willing there to be CGI snake hair, but there was none. *pouts petulantly at flagship show / incompetent team crotch getting all the moneys*

I did enjoy that Sarah Jane+Maria vs Evil Sisterhood theme (while the menfolk were trapped in dungeons or turned to stone). And, uhm, I am feeling a bit of an unnerving X-Men Movieverse Wolverine/Rogue vibe between Sarah Jane/Maria... and as with the inception of those XMM thoughts, I want to bleach my brain but the thoughts are there, nevertheless.

Although - like I've been wondering about Who lately - when are these heroes ever going to face a millenias old nemesis that's, for once, smarter than them (apart from faeries, that is)? Undoubtedly, it's teh evolz that make them inevitably defeated (as the bad guys, that are almost always one-dimensionally 'bad', can't win in DW or SJA. However, not the same for TW as they're incompetent horny morons). Yet all these nemeses from the Dawn of Time and the Doctor and Sarah Jane are almost always assuredly going to defeat them? I don't know, you'd think the odds are one of them would get the better of them (even if they couldn't/wouldn't likely be one-dimensionally evil. The only ones who can get the better of the Doctor or Sarah Jane likely would have a lot of gray, at least, to them).

I also found out today that kid who plays Clyde is 20-yrs-old. I wonder if he could even get into a rated R movie here without getting carded?

Also, am I the only one that thinks Maria's mom looks strikingly like a "Hello, Dolly!"-era Barbra Streisand? Just me? Ok then.

Now onto the crack... I suppose if there is anything good about those crazy companion-smorgasbord S4 finale claims from the Daily Star, it's the prospect of a Jack/Sarah Jane team-up ... which would be kind of hot. I could see them working together to take out Davros & the Daleks (both have faced the Daleks previously, but he/they all could use Sarah Jane's input on Davros, lest Donna meets him earlier in S4).

Also any potential Martha/Sarah Jane team-up would be rather fitting. As far as companions go Martha, arguably, resembles Sarah Jane most character-wise (strong, smart, career-oriented women who apparently both had unrequited longing/pining for the Doctor, but also ultimately leave him and have tons of independent agency). Talk about indomitable.

Too bad Ten would get... no lines at all with all those people around. But, you know, fuck him anyway. I'd seriously watch the Martha, Donna, Jack and Sarah Jane Snark At The Doctor Show (and take out Davros&Progeny/The Master single-handed), anytime.
