SGA 3x01 - No Man's Land

First of all... SGA IS BACK YAY!!!! ::nearly dies from squee but keeps it together for LJ rambliness::

Heh. I realize the title "No Man's Land" is likely referring to that everso dangerous middle ground in the battlefield between the two warring parties. However... the retrovirus may not work on the Wraith females? No man's land, indeed. Looks like those Rodney/Wraith Princess fics might have gotten a tiny little push in the canon favor. They're going to get desperate after awhile depending on how widespread that retrovirus gets. Seems like a potential "Y, The Last Man" scenario brewing for them while their hombres move off to Lothlorien (also depending on how Wraith reproduce of course. Something tells me it isn't necessarily asexually. Not that I care to know too much about that business, thanks).

I also wonder what that means. Why only work on the males? Hopefully that won't be just some dropped subplot, because that sounds potentially interesting / conflict-inducing later on. No (retrovirused) Wraith females to procreate with (depending on how long those converted survive).... more potential for my sad fanon squee of (recurring guest star?) Michael hooking up with a human :cough:Teyla:cough:. I figured that's probably partly why Ronon hates Michael so much... because Teyla was the friendliest to him once, we could eventually get a recurrence of Teyla's wraithness one of these days and whatever it was between them wasn't entirely one-sided. At least that chemistry wasn't and when two actors have it... they just have it. And CT/RL have IT. So thinks my delusional mind anyway. That and any semblance of Ronon seeing too much of himself in what he hates the most... in this case, Michael (the humanized Wraith in parallel to Ronon, the animalized human via the Wraith).

If Ronon isn't too busy with the kamikaze shit, mooning over Teyla and/or hating the Wraith-especially-Michael... Rodney/Ronon needs to be canon. Toute suite. Get on that writers (although it seems you're working on it already). And when McKay is done with him. Weir can have a go after she gets down PWNing the IOA ... since I couldn't beat my sorry fanon fetishes down if I tried. Ronon needs to come to Earth and Rodney is his tour guide. They can eat and banter all the day long and Rodney can watch him faux-disinterestedly as the Big Guy has sparring matches with Teal'c. Add the image of Shep leaning on something during and now I'm assured to have pleasant dreams tonight.

Michael needs to return. More scenes with Shep wouldn't hurt either. They're like instant bosom buddies without McKay there to USTify with. Speaking of, their did seem to be a rather rabid amount of slashiness in this ep. Teyla/Elizabeth, Caldwell/Shep (if you blinked), Lorne/Zelenka, Rodney/Ronon and the aforementioned Michael/Shep. The orgy of SGA is back in it's full glory.

I'm weak to the power of CGI space battles. Sue me. Oh, how this ep rocked on that level. Many times over. Eh. SG1 can keep their Supergates and Ori Antichrists. Give me hijacked Wraith ships and a magnificently blowed-up Orion... although Lorne gets the Wraith ship now, right? They killed his command a bit quickly for my liking.

I probably have a lot more to say after a rewatch, but right now that's about all the coherence I can manage. I'm overwhelmed with the orgytastic nerdliness of it all.

Ok, I was so worried about Lorne I didn't catch that she wasn't retrovirus-ed. Go me.

*is totally with you on wanting to see this* For reals. Also? Can I share those nice dreams with you? *grins*

Ok, I was so worried about Lorne I didn't catch that she wasn't retrovirus-ed. Go me.

Shep said something on the lines of Beckett speccing it possibly not working on the females. Which - in my mind - took that all kinds of directions. Seemingly all going back to the toils of procreation and Wraith-sex... so I don't know what to think about myself in that regard, so I won't.

Seriously. Weir/Dex would be hot in all kinds of crazy, pr0nilicious, hard-against-wall, battling-for-alpha-dominance ways

Also? Can I share those nice dreams with you? *grins*

::spreads dream dust provided by Magic Fairy everywhere:: Not that I think that fandom needs it after that. Hell, the ep could have been asstastic and it still probably would have cranked out several (hundred) new chapters of fic... since, you know, that happens anyway without new epgasms. As the ep was good, however, I can only imagine what the sga_newsletter will look like tomorrow. I'll have to hijack LJ while at work to check it out.

Nothing really constructve or comprehensive to say since I'm really tired........

Just want to say that you're not delusional, I ship Michael/Teyla too.

Just. Seriously. If Connor Trineer gets his face back... someone needs to be having some sexually-induced scenes with him. Teyla would be quite lovely, but... just with anyone. I'm not picky at all. Truly.

I love that scene too. Just his *voice* and the way he was looking at her and the fact that he was able to make her do his bidding. It was Very hot. I was very disappointed in fandom that there wasn't a coda for that scene in which he makes her do...other things. ;)
