1. What is your favorite series finale? Why?

The "Roswell" finale... because the misery was finally over. Ugh.

2. What is your favorite exit for a character? Why?

Haladki in "Alias". I was cheering the entire time and Jack. kicks. so. much. ass. CRUSHED his hands and then shot him only after MUCH groveling on Agent Weasel's part. WEEEeeee! That sealed my Jack Bristow love *forever*.

3. What is your favorite beginning of a relationship? Why?

Syd/Vaughn on "Alias". *sighs* Where have they gone? Who is this married asshat and Sydnesiac? It's just wrong. On many levels.

I'd say Max/Liz on "Roswell" IF I were young again, not jaded and the word "soulmate" didn't make me physically ill. "Alias'" current married asshat gets a lot of flack, but Max Evans on "Roswell"? Jaaaysus. If there's any one instance in tv fandom where a character got the old heave-"ho" (quite literally), it's this one. Funny thing is he started off as a hero at the beginning of the show, but somewhere along the line turned into a villain. Unbeknownst to the writers. Heh.

4. What is your favorite introduction of a character? Why?

Brother Justin's in "Carnivale". The Kurgen from "Highlander" quoting scripture. It's awesome ;) Not to mention the coin-puking.

5. What is your favorite pilot episode? Why?

Without a doubt. "Millenium's" pilot. Dude. That man buried alive with his eyelids, nostrils and mouth sewn shut? Disturbing... but cool ;) One of the most genuinely scary hours on network tv I've ever seen.

What the hell happened on Roswell that made it so awful? I watched the first season and liked it (i loooooved the first ep, and was briefly obsessed), but i think it conflicted with other shows after that and i just never got around to watching it again.

Anyway...

Syd/Vaughn on "Alias".

Eeeee! Woooo! *waves S/V flag* Ahem. And BWAH at "married asshat". He IS, isn't he? GOD. What the hell happened? Oh. Right. That.

I don't even know where to begin. Just consider yourself lucky you bailed when you did. Season One? Fab. Season Two? Nightmare. Season three? Too painful to recollect.

Just a few of the more memorable season two tidbits:
  • The alien idiots are actually alien royalty, but they're still idiots.
  • A flying blue jellyfish villain.
  • Cheesy villains that explode in a cloud of dust *exactly* like the Buffy vamps when they die (Original!), but no matter because they're...
  • Here-today-gone-tomorrow characters (Where'd they go?! Nobody knows! Nobody cares! Certainly not the writers it seemed)
  • Alex was killed (although kudos to Colin Hanks for getting out when he did).
  • Really bad, punk doppelgangers of the four aliens - lousy NYC accents and all with an equally bad storyline to go with them.
  • Max turns into a gargantuan asshole. He treats *everyone*, including his "soulmate" (eh) Liz like dirt. He also treats Tess like dirt but apparently since she's such a slut, she likes it because she screwed him (on the floor of an observatory - Couldn't even get a damn room!). Max is back to treating her like dirt again of course, but then finds out he knocked her up. Oopsies!
  • JUST when the alien idiots are about to go back "home" to the planet "Antar" in a big, cheap lava lamp (care of the profound fx budget), the doormat humans stop them because they found out Tess murdered Alex and she was also apparently working for their archnemesis named "Kivar" (who we ever only saw ONCE in the whole damn series. He's like Sauron, but ... lame, an alien, not in LOTR and did I mention lame?). Doh!
  • So King Max sends Tess back "home" alone... and Max/Liz live happily ever after (sort of). Too bad you want to kill them and all the other characters EXCEPT for Kyle Valenti.

And I'm sure I'm forgetting a whole bunch of crappy stuff, but yeah. It was ghastly.

Kyle's development was the ONLY salvagable part of season two.

Did I mention the brilliant "Roswell" writers knocked up Tess during WB's "Prevention of Teen Pregnancy" week? Way to go writers!

Wow. Thanks for the enlightenment. :)

Alex was killed

Yeah, that was an ep that i actually watched a little bit of. I had seen the promos that somebody was gonna die, and then i saw it was Alex and i was all "You BASTARDS!" Alex was the best.

I hated Tess so, uh, yay? And ooooh, pregnancy. NICE. Oh, did Michael and Maria end up together? Did Isabel stay married to that dude, or did he die or something?

Crazy aliens. Aw, but Max healing Liz in the pilot was always one of my favorite things. So pretty.
