still alive with gamer-accessory and X3 ponderances

It does seem like I post on my LJ anymore just to prove my living status and it's the same dull reasons as ever for my absence... work and other nerdly and non-nerdly distractions.

However, in that general nerd category (and such a wonderful reason to delurk)... my brother sent me a link to this product which all at once struck me scary, TMI and gross.

A portable urine receptacle for the gamer too focused to take the pesky bathroom break courtesy of Think Geek.

I suppose alone, there is the grossness/scariness... but it's just the idea of someone with the urine receptacle in one hand, while the other clicks away at the mouse ordering the new Pizza Hut Dippin' Strips while never leaving your Everquest game. Just ups the ante. I think this garners both a  and :cringes:

In non-bodily function / gaming disjointed randomness, Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead remake) - along with three or four other mystery directors - might direct X3 according to Dark Horizons. Meh. I only have lukewarm feelings for that DotD remake. It was ok, but it certainly isn't Usual Suspects or Apt Pupil sort of filmmaking. I simply don't see that guy directing X3. No clue who those other directors are apparently also in the running, but a tiny hope is still alive one of them might be David Fincher (but if that were the case, why not name-drop him instead of ho-hum Snyder?). Let's hope a name not amongst the contenders is Tim Story. Beyond my better judgement (and it was my poor, misguided roommate's rental money anyway), I did watch bits of "Taxi". Wow... just wow. I don't know what the Fantastic Four ever did to deserve him, but apparently it must have been pretty damn hateful. Funny considering it was Machiavellian The Watchmen who murdered millions of people yet they had Aronofsky, now Paul Greengrass at their helm. Then again, it is about time something cinematic and Alan Moore didn't heinously blow for once. The best I can say for From Hell is that it had Johnny Depp in it.

Ian Thorpe and Grant Hackett, deservedly, get a lot of the focus these days. However, if that pic above doesn't say it enough, Klimmy deserves so much more love. Oh yes he does.

I see a lot of discernable reasons. How "everything visible here"???!?!? *pants, drools etc.*

All that's missing in that pic is "Travel Australia" and I'd be calling Qantas. Dude. They should use him and the rest of their swimteam in some extensive travel campaign. Screw the kangaroos and koalas.

Crap. Now I need to wait for these Internet geeks to die of obesity and muscle atrophy instead of urea poisoning?

DAMN YOU, THINK GEEK.

DAMN YOU, THINK GEEK.

I still can't get that image out of my head. Someone with the pee tube in one hand and the Pepperoni Trio slice in the other. ::vomits in mouth a little::

And you know some idiot will try to use that urine receptacle for other purposes than from which it was designed. "Feminine attachment" my ass (or their ass). Most likely after they eat that pepperoni that smells of a truck stop toilet too. Thank you Everquest, Pizza Hut and Think Geek. They will go to hell for their enabling.
