MirrorMask trailer online

The first trailer for MirrorMask is up on Sony's official site. According to Neil's blog "It's only a taster" (it doesn't really say much about the story) and a longer trailer is coming in the future. I've been wanting to see this since I first heard about it for the Gaiman and McKean factors (Gaiman + McKean = Ubercreepycool). The Jim Henson thing doesn't hurt either (Sad the company nearly fell apart not so long ago. It's still on dodgy ground from what I understand). The movie looks like what I hope the "Coraline" movie will look like set into motion. Although I'm still slightly unnerved about Michelle Pfeiffer as the Other Mother. I suppose we'll have to see. At least it's got better omens (good omens, I dare say) as compared to "X3" currently (a writer from "Catwoman" and "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" first on the bill? Whuh?).

Amusing quote of the moment...
From Jessi Klein's presidential debate blog at CNN.com:
"Watching Bush talk always gives me that feeling like when you're watching an alcoholic uncle give a toast at a wedding - you're just kind of hoping he'll get through it without messing up too bad, but he inevitably does."

BWAH!

BWAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA indeed. I was listening to AirAmerica Radio yesterday and someone (Al Franken?) said that someone else(?) had said that Bush seemed like a standup comic who was trying to do a 90-minute gig with only 30 minutes of material. I'm sure Karl Rove read him the riot act after that debacle...

Weeping over here now.
