The clock is ticking, brothers and sisters, counting down to Armageddon

According to Davis DVD:
HBO Home Video will release the decidedly quirky and visually spectacular Carnivale: The Complete First Season on December 7th. The series, which follows a group of carnies during the Dustbowl of the Great Depression, stars Clancy Brown, Nick Stahl and Amy Madigan. The four-disc box set will feature all twelve first-season episodes in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. Extras will include three audio commentaries (with series creator Daniel Knauf, executive producer Howard Klein and others), a behind-the-scenes featurette (detailing how set and costume designers achieved the look of the Dustbowl in the 1930's), Museum of TV and Radio panel discussion (with the cast, creators and crew), episodic previews and recaps. Retail will be $99.98.

Very cool. I saw an episode of Carnivale and I liked it, though I didn't really know what was going on...it was episode five or something. I'll probably be buying it. :)

I saw the whole first season... and I still don't know what's going on. But then that's the point I suppose. Be prepared to be confused.

Ep 5 was "Babylon", probably the best ep of the series so far. You *knew* something bad was going to happen, yet I still really didn't see that particular end coming.

That's kind of cool. I like a decent level of confusion in what I watch.

I can't really remember anything of what happened. I'll try to find a few episodes to watch so I can justify the cost to myself (I don't really need to, but I'd feel better...I'm strange that way). :)
