this one goes out special to [livejournal.com profile] parrotfish...

... Since she's been on a Gnostic kick again recently.

Red-headed Mary Magdalene - as Gnostics believe, Jesus' wife - had also been possessed. Jesus exorcised her demons, saving her, and they went on their merry (and married), MM having no memory of her possession.

The Doctor saves Donna from a possession from Mr. Sound of Heartbeats Drums, the disco dancing devil, Simm!Master (insert flashbacks here)?? They don't get married (although Donna was mistaken as his wife a lot this season), but Ten still saves her. Unfortunately also leaving her with no memory of the event... or anything else since she'd first been possessed. Which would have been long before she ever met Ten again. *sighs*

Oooohhh...possession...yeah! But maybe the Mary Magdalene exorcism equivalent is Rose/Bad Wolf?

ETA: I'm glad I have someone to play Gnostics with! :D

Could be, that's what it was in POTW and there could be a bit o' mirroring going on here. I'm still wondering if Bad Wolf might actually end up something, ya know, bad.

Or Harriet Jones considering those spoilers/rumors of her being one great evil turncoat complicit with the Daleks... which is actually a more traditional Master thing. He used to be their lackey from time to time back in old skool. However, possession is also a Master thing from os.

I have no doubt in my mind about that Harriet Jones thing wot you said up there. Only I don't think it will end well for her. No exorcism for YOU, former Prime Minister!
